Roller Derby, My 60uP® and More...

I was working out on my 60uP Balance Board while watching men’s tennis doubles at Wimbledon.  I got to thinking about some of the fun things I did when I was younger.  I was a big roller derby fan and actually went to a roller derby school.

The school was in downtown Los Angeles and was led by a roller derby star, David Pound.  It was a real blast. The only problem was that he would have all of us in a pack taking laps on the 45-degree derby track.  It never failed that some guy in front would fall down and we’d all pile up.

I also discovered roller derby back then was pretty much pre-planned like wrestling.  So, after a few weeks I decided roller derby wasn’t for me.  Oh well.  I went on to become a competitive roller skater, and actually won the state championship three years and placed fourth in the nationals.

I have lots of stories about my years as host of the Newlywed Game, as you can imagine.  I’ll share one of those stories with you next time.

My best,

Bob Eubanks
